Hello and thank you for stopping by. Here's a little about me and how Bloom Handmade came to be. 

Bloom Handmade began during the COVID pandemic, although my love of making things started much earlier.

I’ve been sewing since my 20s, and crafting has always been a big part of my family. My dad, an ex-Navy man, taught me to crochet, while Mum was a quilter and knitter. I guess you could say making things is definitely in my blood!

During the long months of lockdown, I started making some simple drawstring project bags and listed them on Etsy. To my surprise, they really took off—and before long, I was struggling to keep up with the orders.

Then people who didn’t knit started asking if I could make handbags and totes, so Bloom Handmade gradually grew from there.

I love that no two Bloom bags are the same. I don’t mass-produce my designs or make piles of identical bags. When you choose a Bloom bag, there’s a good chance you’ll never see another one quite like it.

Every bag is made by me, from choosing the fabrics and materials right through to the very last stitch. I take my time and pay attention to the little details, making sure every piece is finished to a high standard.

For me, Bloom Handmade is about enjoying the process of making something beautiful, practical and a little bit different—and hopefully creating something you’ll love using for years to come.
